Weekend getaway!

Besides our honeymoon, we hadn't been on any vacations as a married couple. That would be reasonable since we've only been married about three months, but we decided that we needed a little R & R with both of our jobs being so hectic (actually, my job being so hectic...I don't get half days during the summer when I can come home and play video games all afternoon, or catch up on two entire seasons of Heroes). Anyway, since I finally got a weekend off, we decided to head north to Myrtle for a little vacay. Man, I never thought that "heading north" in reference to where I live would be referring to Myrtle Beach.

But anyway, Me, Brendan, and Mo, spent the whole weekend shopping at the fabulous outlets, trying out the new restaurants at the Market Commons. Well, I guess Mo didn't enjoy everything we did. He mostly just meandered around the beach house pretending to rule the roost. And might I add, Market Commons is a very cool place for those of you who frequent Myrtle in the summer. I highly suggest checking it out...very upscale and a breath of fresh air from the rest of the area.

This is one my favorite things to do at the beach; going to the end of the beach at Cherry Grove and walking the nature trail.

Ok, so it wasn't exactly perfect beach weather, but I like to think we went mostly for the shopping:) Brendan got me an uber cool jacket from Banana Republic, so even it monsooned the whole time, it was a successful trip.
