Just to re-cap, I've almost completed my second week at the new job. I have to say it's gone really well. There's definitely a lot to take in, but I'm really excited to get started in the industry that I adore. I don't see myself at this particular position forever, but it's a great start. I've also been really encouraged to keep writing myself and plan on getting my book wrapped up in the next six months, so keep your eyes peeled!
All work, however, will be on hold this weekend when we make our second trip up to Clemson for some football and long-lost friends. Maybe the Tigers will even pull a win out for us. Who knows...it seems the times are changing for Clemson football, so well see. I'd really like to be able to use my Clemson Tervis Tumbler at work and not hear someone make a snide remark.
Regardless of the game turnout though, I will not be disappointed with one thing for sure, and that is the fall leaves. This time of the year is picturesque there. I know people don't always associate the South with stunning and vibrant autums (especially not here in Chucktown), but Clemson really has the quintessential fall. I can't wait to be at Chris' lake house with our friends (of course we'll be missing a few), hopefully enjoying some hot apple cider and (if we're lucky!) pumpkin carving.
Ok enough for now. I've gotta pack!!
