Well, it's still pretty early in the New Year, but I figured it might be time for a little update on how our resolutions are going.
We've already accomplished one of our resolutions. As of last Sunday, we're officially Seacoasters and really excited to start getting plugged in! We're looking into different small group options and I'm looking into youth leadership. It's definitely something I want to pray about. If I commit, I want to commit 100 percent, so I don't want to jump into anything with out doing some research first.
And that's just one of the things I'll be focusing on in the 21-day fast that Brendan and I are doing with the whole church. No, no. We're not starving ourselves for 21 days. We're basically just cutting out some things and "cleansing" physically as well as spiritually. We're excited to see what happens because we've never done anything like this before, but we'll be sure to keep you posted. I expect some pretty cool things.
Hopefully this will also help us kick start our goal to get in better shape. I have to confess, we've definitely skipped out on Jillian a few times. That's not to say we haven't done it, like, 6 times, but we haven't been as consistent as we need to be. I think we're going to plan on doing it every other day as our diets are going to be a little different for the next three weeks. Hopefully we'll see a loss of a little poundage.
cornerstone is also doing a 21 day fast, i have chosen to fast sugar, no desserts. it is not to hard so far. why don't you get a dog and take him for a walk while football is on. much healthier. can you guys have dogs???? love, mom mendenhall
