A Recurring Theme?

I know, I know. It's been awhile since "It's been awhile." And the reason is really the same. Life is just busy busy busy! The nine to five has tendency to become eight to six, and after eight to six, all I want to do is eat dinner and hit the sheets. But things are slowing down a bit and this weekend has really been just what the doctor ordered. You know those days when you think it's 5 o'clock but it's only 2? That's been this weekend, and man oh man! I can't get enough. So before the work week rears into action, let me catch you up to speed on the life of the Mendenhalls. The weather's been fabulous these last few weeks, so we've been trying to get ourselves outside as much as possible (really tough...). Last weekend we went to the Palmetto State Park in Mt. P for a Pet Expo wherein there were some of the craziest dogs I've ever seen. I wish I would have brought my camera. Have you ever seen a Newfoundland? I'm told Newfs are what really fanatics call them. If you have seen one, you may have thought it was a bear at first glance. The one we saw was a wopping 180 pounds. There were lots of cute puppies for adoption and I fell in love with, well, all of them, which brings me to my latest object of desire-- a puppy!! I want one SO bad! I debate whether or not now is a good time, but tons of people in our apartments have dogs, and we have a huge field right across the street. I think it would be great. Brendan, on the other hand, is not so crazy about the idea, so I've been scheming ways to soften him up. If you have any pointers, let me know. What else...what else...We finally got some art to put over our bed. I am so happy with the way it turned out. I'll put some pics up soon. We've actually filled a lot of wall space, so new house pics will be coming soon. My next endevour is curtains for the living room; another thing that Brendan wishes I would forget about. So he's anti-puppy and anti-curtain. I think it's the same with both really. If he just trusts my judgement to pick to right one, he won't remember what life was like without them. Today we just hung out downtown all day and (tear) after two pictures, my camera battery died. Oh well. When I get my cool new one, I can take better pictures any way. Here's a few from the last several weeks:

Downtown.

Sneakin' a peak at someone's garden.

Spring has sprung!

Everyone loves King.

The boys are zonked.

Setting sun on a walk.

I had to pay Brendan five dollars not to instinctively chase that thing away.

I told him to pose and this is what I got.

The neighborhood.
