Well, at least in the frozen foods section of the grocery store. I have recently discovered something that I've become a little....fanatical about. What is this new chilled craze? Is it a new Kashi frozen thing? Lean cuisine? Chocolate frozen banana? No. Well, I do have something to say about frozen bananas, but that's later.
I have discovered something so delicious, so amazing, that I can't even think of the right word for it. My new discovery is Ciao Bella. Yes, I've seen the colorful trendy tubs in the frozen fatty section before. But recently, I found these little mini tubs (I hate using the word tub here, by the way...sounds a little unsanitary to eat out of tub) anyway... I found these little "tubs" of Ciao Bella for a dollar next to the other little single serving selections. So I grabbed a Starbucks Mocha chip and Ciao Bella Sicilian blood orange sorbet.It's tart and sweet and the texture is perfect.
Then I was reading Woman's Health, which is kind of funny given the circumstances, and saw an add for Key Lime Ciao Bella gelato. OMG. I never say "omg," but O-M-G! Get it now! Drop what you are doing and go get some. I'm telling you, this may ruin my diet (and yours). It won't, but it has potential.
Tonight we tried the Coconut Italian Ice and it didn't let us down. Seriously this is the most amazing stuff ever.
One other little frozen discovery I've recently made is Banana Babies. They're dark chocolate covered frozen half bananas. They may sound weird, but they sure hit the spot if you have a sweet tooth. It's incredible how ice creamish the bananas are. And you can't beat adding to your fruit quota like that! Plus they come in milk chocolate and peanut covered.
Now that I feel like a real fat kid for devoting an entire post to gelato and other frozen delicatessens, I'm going to go watch The Bachelorette and have some blood orange sorbet.

LOVE me some frozen bananas! I've made my own before and in an effort to be healthy, I put some melted chocolate chips and "silken tofu" (gross!) into a blender, then dipped the frozen bananas in. You can't even taste the tofu and it has a lot more protein in it for a healthy snack...and it brings out my inner hippy. :)
