We're alive! We promise!

If you only knew us by our blog, you may have thought we dropped off the face of the earth. Contrary to fact that my last post was about two and a half months ago, I have not lost all of fingers, been on life support, or fallen in a hole.

No, no. I have been alive and have full use of my fingers. I've just let this dear little blog fall to the way side with dated posts and decrepit design.

It's not because I haven't had anything to write about. It's just that several writing/photography projects + life = little time or energy to blog.

But today, though I'm still in the thick of a lot of craziness, I somehow find myself recharged enough to resurrect ye old blog.

So listed below, in chronological bullet points, is what has more or less occupied our lives over the last two and a half months:

  • Celebrated our two-year anniversary by stuffing our faces at {some of our newest favorites and old faithful} restaurants around town and spending a lovely day at Middleton Plantation. Seeing as how I do not have my camera right now, I can't post any pictures, but I will, I promise.
  • Got a new precious kitten named Gigi. Now this, I do have a picture of.
So cute. She's kind of like a mix between a cat and a squirrel. Also, she's does parkour and judging by the way she scales the curtains in our bedroom, could probably climb Mt. Everest.
  • Got a new car. Ok, this one's not in chronological order, and I may have talked about it already, but I'll just throw it in to fatten up this list. I feel like it's a little meager looking in terms of justifying my lack of blogging.
  • Have been working tirelessly on my {first} book and have been drafting several photography books still in the making.
  • Attempted to start a food blog (inspired by some of the amazing places we went on our anniversary weekend), but am not sure how I feel about it. I feel like these days, everyone has a food blog. It's cool if you're actually posting your own recipes. That usually means you're pretty legit. But I'm just writing about eating. I don't know if I'm cool with that level of fatkidness. I'm not sure how long the marriage of food and writing will last in my life. They may or may not break up.
  • Over a span of two weeks, enjoyed the visits of one of my BFFs from Maryland, AND my entire immediate please family move complete here with my brother's wonderfully fun girlfriend. Yes, this blog contains subliminal messaging urging you to move to Charletson. Brendan and I both soaked up a great staycation and had an amazing time with family.
  • Will possibly be moving to a three-bedroom place on Daniel Island in a month! {yay!! we can stay on DI *and* have more space!}
  • Are in the very preliminary stages of planning a Eurotrip for sometime next spring. Any input is much appreciated, since my last trip out of the country was in tenth grade and this will Brendan's first time :)
In other news, I am not that happy with the design of my blog right now, but had to do something to fix it since I royally screwed it up a while ago thinking I was an expert web designer. Turns out the internet is very picky about coding, etc. Code schmode, I'll figure it out.

Well folks, that's all for now. Promise I won't go into another blogging coma any time soon.
