Easy Like Sunday Morning

Good morning! The weather this morning is divine. I've had the windows open since yesterday and there are fewer things more refreshing than waking up to fresh air and bright morning sunlight pouring throw every window of your house. Lovely.

Brendan's been in Clemson this weekend, camping and watching football with his college buddies, so I've had the house to myself, and I must say, I've been pretty productive.

Recently, I found out that my insurance covered 22 free massages a year {CHA-CHING!}, so I decided cash in and had one yesterday morning. I can't really think of a better to start off a Saturday!

Feeling like jell-o (and a little spoiled :/ ), I made my way over to World Market on a mission to "make our house look like fall" at the special request of my secretly style savvy hubby. Yeah Brendan, you may be having fun being all rugged and manly in the wilderness this weekend, but I know what's really important to you ;)

I think I was pretty successful, but still have some loose ends to tie up. Gigi seems to approve.

I also discovered what might be my new favorite place for cocktails in Charleston. It's called The Gin Joint downtown on East Bay (where Robert's used to be). Think 1920's speak easy. Swanky music + suspenders + juleps + gin = totally fab. And even in all of it's Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan fabness, it's still really laid back and chill and just a great environment. I will forewarn that it's a bit pricey, but take it from me, all you need is one drink. They are legit. So unless you want to be tripping all over yourself and maybe breaking an ankle on the cobblestone sidewalks downtown, do yourself a favor and sip your julep or knickerbocker slooowlllyyy and enjoy! We sure did!

Yes, I did say drink only one. The julep's not mine, but I just had to have a picture with it. The silver cup, silver straw, huge sprig of mint...so pretty!

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend!

xoxo
