Daily Muse

I haven't been up on the latest with one of my fav ladies, The Pioneer Women Ree Drummond, for a while. If you don't know her, you should.

Anyway, as I was settling into my cubical this morning I dropped by her blog to see what she's up to these days and I stumbled across these fabulous little jewels- finalists for her macro photography contest. Have I told you lately that I love macro photography? Well I do. I'm a total details person and macro is really just about capturing the little thing that make the world around us so wonderful and interesting.

I dragged the extra delicious pictures onto my desktop for easily accessible inspiration. This leaf is my muse today. I just love everything about it- the color, the composition, the lighting. But beyond their obvious aesthetic quality these beautiful pictures show us something more. They capture little treasures that can be so easily overlooked in the midst of the life's daily chaos.

So my goal today? Appreciate the little things and look for beauty. Even in the most unsuspecting places, it's all around us. Don't miss out!
