Anyway, we've decided that in light of the meager time off that two weeks in Europe would leave us with, we're shortening it a bit. Of course this forces us to really pick which places are in and which places are out. Agonizing, I know. I knooooow. But it must be done. C'est la vie as they say.
So. Here is the updated itinerary, which is completely open for suggestion.
- Fly from Charleston to Paris on a Friday (flights look like they're typically at 5 PM-ish)
- Arrive in Paris on Saturday morning
- Spend two nights in Paris (Saturday and Sunday)
- Leave for Rome on Monday afternoon (taking a cheap flight)
- Arrive in Rome Monday evening and stay for three nights (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
- Go up to Florence on Thursday and get there around lunch time, spend one night (Thursday)
- Go up to Venice on Friday and stay two nights (Friday, Saturday)
- Leave Sunday afternoon, get home Monday morning
Any thoughts??
yes!!! jealousy here. I loved loved Florence, and would recommend more than one night there! Rome was good, but it's pretty westernized (and still very historic!). Have you thought about doing the Cinque Terre? BEAUTIFUL.
